What accessibility features does Walkabout have?

Accessibility is important to our team, and we continue to work towards new features and settings that can make Walkabout fun for everyone.

Settings

  • Users can find a specific ‘Accessibility’ settings tab at the Welcome Island Shack settings menu and the course scorecard settings, which will allow users to add a magnifying glass, increase the scale of their watch display, and add controller smoothing.

Stationary Play Tips and Tricks

  • Players can enjoy Walkabout seated and stationary without compromising on gameplay experience. We recommend stationary players to utilize our ‘Lock Ball’ setting so that it’s easier to align with the ball. This setting can be found under our ‘Movement’ settings tab.

  • While our ‘Auto Teleport’ setting was designed with our "Grip-to-putter" attachment players in mind, this feature can be useful for stationary players who want minimal input with manually moving themselves and wish to auto progress to the next ball position. This setting can be found under our ‘Movement’ settings tab.

  • Our Lost Balls are designed to be as friendly to our stationary players as possible, and should be collectible from a seated position using smooth locomotion. That said, for users who want more of an edge, we recommend flying around the course to hunt for them.

  • Utilizing our 'Grip to Putt' feature can greatly help players who have shaky hands and are prone to accidentally tapping the ball. This setting will only make the putter head active if the trigger button is pressed down.

Course FX Toggles

  • El Dorado (Hard Course): Lightning Toggle (Visual-only on/off)

  • Widow’s Walkabout: Spiders Toggle (Turn spiders on/off)
