CROSSPLAY
The ability for a game like Walkabout to be enjoyed simultaneously in multiplayer games by players on different platforms, such as Quest, PlayStation VR2, Steam/PCVR, Pico, and Pocket Edition. Our game does not feature crossbuy (the ability to buy it on one platform and get it on others for free) nor to progress synced across platforms.
DISCORD
A third-party platform where our volunteer moderators host community questions, discussions, troubleshooting, and announcements. Join HERE.
DLC
“Downloadable Content” aka add-on courses or in-app purchases you can acquire in the shack in-game or on your platform’s store.
FOXHUNT
A clue-driven scavenger hunt in the hard mode of each course, after which you earn a commemorative putter to use in-game.
FLYING
The ability to hold your putter straight up, push the thumbstick forward, and fly around any course you are on!
GUEST PASS
A feature in Walkabout Mini Golf that allows a player who owns a DLC to share it with another player during a multiplayer game, but without the ability for that guest to collect lost balls or participate in foxhunts.
GOD MODE
(aka big head mode) - When you end the course or push the A button on your controller, you hover over the course, and to others who may be elsewhere in your multiplayer game, you look huge.
GRIP-TO-PUTT
A setting that allows you to both avoid accidentally hitting your ball and to keep it in play once you have putted.
GRIP-TO-PUTTER
A controller attachment created in partnership between Walkabout Mini Golf and HelloRealVR that provides an even more immersive and realistic feel to your putts.
MOD
(Moderator) On our Discord, also known as an “admin” on the Walkabout Mini Golf Community on Facebook, is a volunteer who runs the forums, answers questions, and keeps things civil as needed. They should be treated with respect always.
POCKET EDITION
The mobile version of Walkabout Mini Golf was initially developed for iOS devices (iPhones and iPads), which allows players to get in on the fun, show it off to others, and pop in on the go. Crossplay with VR platforms included!
PRACTICE MODE
A mode in each course you own that allows you to practice each hole as many times as you like. Simply pull back on your thumb stick to re-do any shot.
PROFILE
The user settings associated with your account, such as your player name, avatar, and progress. The game also supports multiple profiles per installation of the game.
PRIVATE ROOM
Play with up to 8 people privately with your own room code. Simply start a private room, create a name, and share it with friends to join you! You'll then be the host in charge of selecting the courses.
QUICK MATCH
Start up a quick 1-to-1 game with another Walkabout player on any of the 8 courses included in the game.
SHACK
The main structure on Welcome Island that hosts all purchased and available-to-purchase courses, third panels with teasers and tips, avatar options, and personal information, as well as both quickmatch and private game modes.

STROKE LIMIT
A setting that allows you to either limit the number of putts or putt to your heart's desire!
TELEPORT
Your alternative to flying, to move around the course. Simply aim your controller at a spot, see the blue circle appear, and press the back button.
WELCOME ISLAND
The main menu-style island with a driving range, practice area, our shack with available courses, and more! Plenty to keep you busy between games.
SMOOTH LOCOMOTION
Want to feel like you're walking across our courses? Then go to settings, movement, and tick smooth!
WARP TO BALL
Use the trigger function to warp to your ball with just one motion!
REPLAY
Want to watch your most recent shot again? No problem! Simply swipe left on the thumbpad, and you and your friends can enjoy it all over again.
RACE MODE
The first to complete the final hole wins. The number of strokes doesn’t matter.
MATCH PLAY
The player with the lowest score on a hole gets a point. Most points win.
SIMULTANEOUS MODE
Everyone plays at the same time.
CUSTOM GAME MODE
Choose your own game mode, holes, and turn order.
